About Us
Six String Academy exists to equip students with the skills and discipline they need to become confident, capable musicians—whether they dream of a career in music or simply want to grow in their love for guitar.
Founded and taught by Patrick Jordan, a dedicated guitar teacher with years of experience in performance and worship, our lessons are personal, encouraging, and built around the individual student. Each 30-minute weekly lesson takes place at KLJ Studios in Woodland, California, with a focus on real progress, not perfection. Every student is expected to practice at least 10 minutes a day—because consistency is where growth lives.
We cover guitar, music theory, songwriting, and vocal development, tailoring each lesson to the student’s unique journey. From joining bands to writing original songs, our students have seen incredible growth in skill and confidence. While not every student may choose to pursue music professionally, we teach as if they could—because they can.
At Six String Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole person—encouraging not just musical talent, but personal growth, character, and confidence.
Satisfied Parent:
“Eli’s guitar lessons have been an incredible experience. The instructor was excellent at selecting fun songs that were both motivating and accessible, allowing Eli to start playing real songs right away. This immediate success was a huge confidence booster. The instructor’s flexibility and patience were also standout qualities—no matter Eli's pace or challenges, they always made sure to adjust lessons to fit his needs. Over just two years, Eli has made remarkable progress, learning most of the chords and even getting the hang of fingerpicking. He’s now able to read guitar music with ease, which is a huge accomplishment. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the value and results of the lessons—Eli’s growth as a guitarist has far exceeded my expectations.”

GUITAR INSTRUCTOR
Hi, I’m Patrick N. Jordan, a singer-songwriter and experienced guitar instructor with over 25 years of playing experience and 15 years of teaching. Music has been a lifelong passion for me—I’ve played in a band, held a residency at the House of Blues, and was even scouted by Sony Music. I specialize in private guitar lessons that go beyond just playing songs. My students learn how to sing, sight-read music, play rhythm, classical, and lead guitar, and even write their own songs. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to refine your skills, I provide personalized instruction to help you grow as a musician.
